To our Crozet Neighbors:

We are saddened that a senseless act of violence occurred on Feb. 17, 2025 in the parking lot of our Blue Ridge Harris Teeter in Crozet, Va.

Our thoughts are with all those impacted and their families.

The safety and well-being of our customers and valued associates is our top priority, and we are deeply concerned about the events that transpired.

We have increased security presence at this location and are fully cooperating with the investigation that is being handled by the Albemarle County Police Department (ACPD) and the Virginia State Police. We are grateful for the swift and professional response of the ACPD and the Virginia State Police.

We want to express our sincere gratitude to an off-duty Federal agent who selflessly intervened to prevent the situation from escalating further. This person’s bravery and quick response were instrumental and heroic.

Our associates were not involved or physically harmed in this incident, and we are providing on-site and virtual mental health resources and counseling services to any associate who desires support.
