Spooky Spider Cookies Recipe
Spooky Spider Cookies

Little Miss Muffet would never have been frightened by these adorable spiders. She would probably gladly trade those curds and whey for these chocolatey arthropods. Fun for Halloween, a child's birthday and parties too!
Serves: 12Prep: 20 minutesCook: 15 minutesTotal: 35 minutesDifficulty: Easy
Serves: 12
Ingredients
- 1 dozen “Take and Bake” Sugar Cookies (found in frozen section near bakery OR already baked Sugar Cookies)
- 1 bag Chocolate Bridge Mix (malt balls or any other small circular chocolate candy)
- 1⁄2 cup Chocolate Baking Chips
- 1 package Candy eyes
Directions
- Take and Bake cookies: follow baking instructions on package. Allow the cookies to cool completely before moving on to the next steps.
- In a small bowl, melt the chocolate chips in 30 second intervals until they are completely melted.
- Transfer the melted chocolate into a piping bag or zip lock baggie. Cut a small tip off of the bag.
- Pipe two dollops of chocolate in the center of the cookie and place two chocolate candies from the bridge mix on top of the melted chocolate. The melted chocolate will act as a glue to keep these secure.
- Once the body of the spider is on the cookie, pipe 4 legs on each side.
- Next, place two small dots of chocolate on the face of the spider and stick on two candy eyes.
- Repeat these steps for each cookie until you have a batch of delicious, spooky spider cookies. Enjoy!
