Farro, known as the mother of all wheat was so important to the roman legion that it was sometimes used as currency. This ancient Mediterranean grain was and is still a staple food prized not only for its taste but also for its nutritional value. To the farro, we add highly prized , aromatic Porcini mushrooms. With a quick twenty minutes cooking time, this hearty dish can be used as a side dish or as a base for a one bowl meal.
