MATTHEWS, N.C. (Sept. 19, 2024) – A recent partnership between Harris Teeter and Mighty Spark has yielded 21,892 donated meals, which will be distributed to 16 local food banks nearest to Harris Teeter stores.

The donated meals are a result of a local giving campaign held from May 1 to July 31, 2024. For every Mighty Spark product purchased at Harris Teeter throughout the campaign, Mighty Spark donated one meal. Thanks to the support from Harris Teeter shoppers, 21,892 Mighty Spark products were purchased during the timeframe, resulting in 21,892 meals donated. The food banks that will receive the donations include:

• Maryland Food Bank

• Second Harvest Food Bank of Northwest North Carolina
• Virginia Peninsula Foodbank
