Ice Cream Family Night
Tips for the Ultimate At Home Family Ice Cream Night
Family time may look a little different right now, but that doesn't mean you can't still enjoy a sweet treat with the whole family on special nights. Check out these tips and tricks for the ultimate at home family ice cream night!
Prescoop Ice Cream into Muffin Cups
Rather than trying to scoop ice cream, do yourself a favor and prescoop ice cream into balls and freeze them until ready to serve. I buy Harris Teeter’s Neapolitan Ice Cream which comes in a 4 qt. bucket for easy flavor choices
When ready to serve, place ice cream balls in a disposable aluminum tray.
Fill another same-sized tray with ice and insert the ice cream tray on top of the ice. It’ll last a little longer without melting this way.
Get all the toppings
You’ll find low prices on popular ice cream toppings at Harris Teeter. We loaded our ice cream with candies, marshmallows, cherries, chocolate chips, nuts, and all kinds of sauces.
Heat sauces up in a slow cooker.
Place mason jars in your slow cooker and fill them up with the toppings you want to serve warm. I love serving hot fudge, caramel and marshmallow fluff this way!
Use a tiered platter to arrange cones and bowls
Organize cones and ice cream bowls on tiered tray. Not only does this look super cute, but it makes it easy for little ones to pick what they want.
Sit back, relax and mix and match the toppings for the ultimate ice cream sundae!
