Beth Avery, RD, MPH, has been a part of the Harris Teeter yourwellness team since the program launched in March of 2006. yourwellness is our way to help you make healthy choices easy for you and your family.
As a Registered Dietitian with a Masters Degree of Public Health from the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill, she completed her dietetic internship at Presbyterian Hospital in Charlotte, North Carolina. Beth is a licensed nutritionist, a member of the American Dietetic Association and has served a diverse client base as a nutrition counselor and diabetes educator.
While at the University of North Carolina, Beth also studied Complementary and Alternative Medicine, aspects of which she incorporates into her practice – especially the belief that physicians and dietitians should collaborate to help their patients achieve optimal health by focusing on disease prevention strategies.
