2013 JDRF Thank You Statement
Harris Teeter thanks its associates and customers for supporting its donation card campaign during the month of March to benefit JDRF. The generous donations helped raise over $340,000 which will be used by JDRF to improve the lives of those living with type 1 diabetes (T1D).

Harris Teeter Supports Our Troops
During the month of May, Harris Teeter is hosting a donation card campaign to support both the United Service Organizations (USO) and Wounded Warrior Project® (WWP), two organizations committed to supporting our troops and their families. Learn more about the campaign from Travis Hubbard, Harris Teeter's vice president of Fresh Foods who also served in both the Marine Corps Reserves and Army National Guard.

2012 Harvest Feast Thank You Video
Harris Teeter would like to extend a sincere thank you to its generous shoppers who donated more than $550,000 to local food banks during the company's Harvest Feast Food Drive and Donation Card Campaign. In addition to the food drive and donation card campaign, Harris Teeter also coordinated Thanksgiving Bag Assembly projects to further help its local food bank partners by donating holiday meals to Second Harvest Food Bank of Metrolina and Food Bank of Central and Eastern North Carolina, to name two partners. Thanks again to its associates for their help with both the bag assembly projects and the donation card campaign and thanks again to its customers who were also so generous this holiday season.

Community Cares 2012 - Harris Teeter United Way Campaign
Harris Teeter associates and its customers are very generous, and we thank them for giving back to nonprofit organizations in the community. During our 2012 Community Cares Associate Giving Campaign, associates pledged more than $305,000 to United Way. Harris Teeter also hosted a donation card campaign for United Way during this same time frame, and our generous customers donated more than $579,000. Thank you all for what you do to support the community, and we appreciate your loyalty to our store as well.

Harris Teeter and Sarah - The Cheese Lady - Kaufmann 2012
How many cases of Harris Teeter Weave-Its does it take to eat nearly a ton of cheese? We’re still not sure, but we do know that it took Sarah “The Cheese Lady” Kaufmann 60 hours over the course of four days to carve two, 640-pound blocks of Wisconsin Cheddar Cheese into Carolina Panthers’ mascot Sir Purr and our very own Harry the Happy Dragon. The entire process was captured on a time lapse camera that was specially set-up to film this activity at our Morrocroft Village Harris Teeter store in Charlotte. Sit back, enjoy the carving, and if you have a craving for cheese and crackers afterward, we’re sure you can find what you are looking for at your local Harris Teeter.

2012 Harris Teeter Harvest Feast
On November 20, 2012, Carolina Panthers middle linebacker Jon Beason and Harris Teeter associates assembled 2,000 Thanksgiving bags at Second Harvest Food Bank of Metrolina in Charlotte, NC. Each bag contained enough food and holiday fixins to provide a family of four a nutritious Thanksgiving meal.

Peanut Butter n July Thank You
In July, WBT, Harris Teeter, Jif Peanut Butter and the Second Harvest Food Bank of Metrolina concluded a month long effort called "Peanut Butter 'N' July." The idea was to collect as many jars of peanut butter as we could for the Second Harvest Food Bank of Metrolina.

Thank You From The USO
Harris Teeter invited its customers to help Support Our Troops during a donation card campaign it hosted during the month of May. The campaign raised over $450,000; both United Service Organizations (USO) and Wounded Warrior Project™ (WWP) are grateful for the support received.

Thank You From The American Cancer Society
In March, Harris Teeter hosted a donation card campaign benefiting American Cancer Society (ACS). The campaign encouraged customers to help create a world with more birthdays and less cancer by making a $1,$3 or $5 donation to the More Birthdays Campaign. Harris Teeter shoppers donated $553,000 to the American Cancer Society's More Birthdays Campaign.
