A: As long as you have a Harris Teeter VIC card, you can join the Generic Prescription Savings Club for an annual enrollment fee of $4.95 per VIC card. You can then fill prescriptions for a 90-day supply of over 300 generic drugs for the low price of $9.99. That works out to a cost of just over 11 cents a day or less than 78 cents a week!!
Q: How do I enroll in the Harris Teeter Generic Prescription Savings Club?
A: Enrollment into the Harris Teeter Generic Prescription Savings Club is easy and your Harris Teeter Pharmacist will do it for you!! All you need is a VIC card and a valid prescription for one of the over 300 generic medications.
Q: I already get my prescriptions filled at Harris Teeter. When can I start getting these lower prices?
A: All Harris Teeter Pharmacy customers are eligible to join the Generic Prescription Savings Club. Beginning January 20, 2009, any prescription you fill for the more than 300 generic drugs included in the Generic Prescription Savings Club will be priced at $9.99 for a 90-day supply + the $4.95 annual enrollment fee on the first prescription after enrollment.
Q: How do I take advantage of this exciting value?
A: All you need to take advantage of this offer is join the Generic Prescription Savings Club, pay an annual enrollment fee of $4.95, and a valid prescription from your doctor for one of the included generic drugs.
Q: What do I do if I get my prescriptions filled somewhere else?
A: Harris Teeter pharmacy associates will easily transfer your refill from another pharmacy if you choose. We will do all of the work for you.
Q: I have a prescription insurance plan. How will that be handled?
A: If you join the Generic Prescription Savings Club, you are eligible for the $9.99 price for a 90 day supply. There are no other charges (other than the annual enrollment fee of $4.95) and your insurance will not be billed. We are most interested in offering you the choice between your insurance and the Generic Prescription Savings Club so you will always pay the lower price.
Q: How can I be sure the generics I am filling are top quality medications?
A: Harris Teeter only purchases products from manufacturers with a proven reputation and approval from the United States Food and Drug Administration.
Q: Is this program an insurance program?
A: It’s not an insurance plan, but a prescription savings club that provides you with savings on over 300 generic prescription medications for you and your family. Whether you have no prescription insurance, limited coverage, or even full insurance coverage, you can enroll in the Generic Prescription Savings Club and start saving immediately.
Q: Will I always pay $9.99 for each prescription?
A: You will pay $9.99 for a 90-day supply of the over 300 generic medications identified on the current list (remember the $4.95 enrollment fee is only ONCE per year). For 90-day supply quantities which exceed the typically prescribed 90-day quantities, the amount may be pro-rated. Prices may vary in certain states. See your pharmacy for details.
Q: Can I use the Generic Prescription Savings Club with my current prescription or medical coverage?
A: The Generic Prescription Savings Club cannot be used in conjunction with other insurance on the same prescription or medical service. You must either use your Generic Prescription Savings Club or other insurance. If you have Medicare Part D coverage, using the Generic Prescription Savings Club may prevent you from reaching the donut hole in your coverage.
Q: Does Harris Teeter carry all of these items in the Pharmacy Inventory?
A: Yes….Harris Teeter forecasts prescription drug inventory level requirements based on the history of prescriptions filled. If demand for these items initially exceeds the current supply on hand, we will quickly adjust and can have the medication the next day. Going forward Harris Teeter will automatically build inventory levels daily to supply all of our customer’s needs.
Q: Can I use Harris Teeter’s automatic refill program if I join the Generic Prescription Savings Club?
A: Yes…absolutely…that way it is easy for you. Every 90 days we will automatically refill your prescription and let you know when it is ready!!
