When will Express Lane be at my store?
Harris Teeter is continually reviewing stores for potential Express Lane online shopping. Like most retailers, we have certain criteria we follow for the placement of new online stores. If you have a suggestion for an Express Lane location, please "contact us" and we will be happy to forward your comments to our E-Commerce department.

How do I sign-up/log-in to Express Lane?
Go to "Shopping" then "Express Lane". Choose one of our convenient locations and "Sign In".

What do I do when I can't remember my password?
Go to "Shopping" then "Express Lane". Choose one of our convenient locations and "Sign In". Next choose "Forgot your password?". Enter your email address in the space provided and a new password will be emailed to you immediately.

What methods of payment can I use?
All major credit cards are accepted. We also require a driver's license and the actual credit card when you arrive to pick up your order.

When do I have to place my order by to get same day pick up?
Our shoppers require a four hour lead time to pick your order. On Monday - Friday, orders must be placed before 2:30pm for the last 6:30-7:00 time slot. On Saturday, orders must be placed before 10:30am for the last 2:30-3:00 slot.

How do I pick up my online order?
In most cases, we have a dedicated pickup area in front of our store. Simply push the button on the Express Lane call box and our associates will bring your order directly to your car.

Do you offer home delivery?
No. At this time, we offer store pick-up only.

Can I "transfer" my shopping list from my e-VIC email to the online shopping software??
Unfortunately, shopping lists created in our e-VIC email can not be "transferred" to the Express lane online shopping software.

Can I modify an order once it has been placed?
You have one hour to modify an online order once is has been placed. Just go to "My Account" then "Order History".

How do I place a Party To Go order?
There are three easy ways to order:

How do I request an item Harris Teeter does not carry?
Our Special Item Request service provides access to thousands of food and specialty products not commonly found in our local stores. You will find this feature under "Shopping" located on the main tool bar.

How can I order gift cards?
Call our Customer Relations, Gift Services area, to purchase gift cards. You can reach Customer Relations at 1-800-432-6111, press option 3 to speak to a representative. Gift cards can be ordered from 8:00 AM – 6:00 PM (EST), Monday through Friday, excluding holidays.

How will I receive my gift cards?
There are options for smaller orders, typically Federal Express or Certified Mail. For larger orders, all are shipped by Federal Express.

Is there a charge for mailing gift cards?
Effective May 1, 2007, we will no longer ship gift cards via standard mail. We can ship gift card orders of 1-3 cards via Certified Mail, but strongly suggest using Fed Ex for your protection and ours as the gift cards are activated when they leave our offices. Below are our guidelines for gift card order shipping:
- No gift card orders go regular mail
- 1-3 cards can go certified unless FedEx is requested- Cost = $5.00 (based on weight)
- Fed Ex is the standard $12.00 charge
- Fed Ex Overnight is $25.00

How would I purchase a large amount of gift cards?
Any amount of cards can be purchased at store level, however, because of the time it takes to activate cards at store level, customers may find it more convenient to place larger orders through the corporate headquarters. Also, for orders of $500.00 or more, a corporate discount of 6% will apply, if purchased from the corporate headquarters.
Please note: The 6% discount will be applied to orders of $1,000 or more and will be available for businesses purchasing for sales incentives and associate rewards/gifts only. Our gift cards will not be sold for personal use or for resale. top
If I order from the corp. office, how long will it take to get my cards?
In regular, non-holiday season, 1-2 days depending on the method of shipping. During holiday season (October – December), turn around time is 3-4 days.

What are the methods of payment?
All orders are charged to a valid major credit card (VISA, Mastercard, American Express or Discover). Payment by check is also accepted for call in orders. Checks must be received, however, before the order will be shipped.

Can gift cards be redeemed for cash?
Gift cards are accepted for merchandise only and can not be redeemed for cash. Any remaining balance can be used for merchandise and can not be returned in cash.

How can I check the balance on my gift card?
You can check the remaining balance by calling 1-888-850-8871.

Can I add value back to an existing gift card?
No, once the balance has been depleted, no value can be added back to the card.

Are there any restrictions on items that can be purchased with gift cards?
No, a gift card can be used to purchase any merchandise at Harris Teeter.

Is there an expiration date on gift cards?
Gift cards may be used for face value amount for one year from date of order. After any twelve months of non use, the card begins to deduct value at the rate of $2.00 per month.

Can gift cards be returned?
No, gift cards can be used to purchase merchandise, but can not be returned for cash or exchanged.

What happens if I lose my card?
Gift cards are just like cash and can not be replaced if lost or stolen.
