Simmering Steaks

Tip • Flank • London Broil • Boneless Chuck

1.   Brown steak on both sides in a lightly oiled pan. Season. Add sliced onion, green pepper, garlic, etc., if desired.
2.   Add 1/2 to 1 cup liquid, such as broth, juice, wine or canned tomatoes.
3.   Cover and simmer on stove or in 325°F oven until tender (about 1 1/4 to 1 3/4 hours). Serve with rice, noodles or mashed potatoes.
