Colon Therapy
The colon is one of the primary organs responsible for eliminating bodily wastes and
promoting the absorption of vital nutrients. Individuals with an unhealthy colon may
experience poor digestion and irregular bowel movements, which may also lead to other
illnesses. Colon therapy is a form of healthcare that in theory restores the function of the
colon. This form of therapy involves administering a series of colonic water flushes to clean
and detoxify the lower intestine and promote the reconstitution of intestinal flora. In addition to restoring the colon
to health, advocates claim this form of therapy may help to alleviate the symptoms related to
colon dysfunction, such as backache, headache,
indigestion, constipation, skin problems, and fatigue. Colon
therapy has not been studied in rigorous scientific research.
