DAD: Kevin Brooks
CHILD: Cameron

“You usually don’t think of the doctor’s office being the place your baby laughs out loud for the very first time,” says Harris Teeter associate Kevin Brooks, father of Cameron. “There were cartoons on the television in Cameron’s doctor’s office, something struck Cameron as funny and he let out a big laugh, his very first one! He sure stood out among all the other crying babies.”

GRANDMOTHER: Denise Wade
CHILD: Jayden

“Jayden is the sweetest baby, he always has a smile for me,” says Harris Teeter associate Denise Wade, Jayden’s grandmother. “He is already an alert little guy. When you talk to him, he opens his eyes wide and lifts his head. He lets you know he is listening!”

MOM: Stacey Cormaci
CHILD: Olivia

“Olivia loves ducks. All her favorite toys and books are about ducks,” says Harris Teeter associate Stacey Cormaci, Olivia’s mom. “It does not matter where we are or what we are doing, she is always able to spot a duck, usually one we would have never seen. At a time when Olivia was making very limited efforts to speak, I put on a new bathrobe. The bathrobe was covered with ducks and when I walked into the room, she excitedly shouted out ‘ducks!’

MOM: Kristin McCoy
CHILD: Ashleigh

“Ashleigh is truly a creative child,” says Harris Teeter associate Kristin McCoy, Ashleigh’s mom. “When Ashleigh is inside, she loves to play the piano and sing. When she is outside she loves to draw pictures on the driveway using colored chalk. She brightens up our day inside and out!”


GRANDMOTHER: Martha Taylor
CHILD: Aydan

“Aydan is such a sweet and loving grandson,” says Harris Teeter associate Martha Taylor, Aydan’s grandmother. “He loves to spend time at our house, he is so much fun. He loves it when our two dachshunds lick his feet and toes. He will squeal and laugh every time. He is truly a Grandpa’s boy. As soon as Aydan sees him, he will smile as big as he can.”

DAD: Pat Martinage
CHILD: Andrew

“Drew does a pretty good impression of me,” says Harris Teeter associate Pat Martinage, his dad. “What makes it funny is, it is an impression of me after I lost a golf ball in the water on the 18th hole. Drew was with me when I hit that bad shot. I moaned and let out a big noooooooooo. This struck Drew as funny and since then he has done his impression of me in front of many people.”

CHILD: Richard

“Richie is a fun child to just sit and watch,” says Harris Teeter associate Connie Terry, Richie’s grandmother. “I remember when he first discovered his reflection in the mirror. At first he just stared. Now every time he sees his reflection he will giggle and smile as well as clown around.”

MOM: Chivon James
CHILD: Iryss

“Iryss is such a sweet child. She is very thoughtful about what she does,” says Harris Teeter associate Chivon James, Iryss’s mother. “On her first birthday, Iryss was very, very hesitant when it came to touching and eating her cake. Finally, after cheers from everyone at the party, and some careful thought on Iryss’s part, she dug in! If I had to list a special talent for Iryss, I would say it was being a sweetie!”


OM: C.C. Honeycutt
CHILD: Ayden

“Ayden is such a fun and inquisitive child,” says Harris Teeter associate C.C., Ayden’s mom. “During my last visit to my dentist, Ayden sat in my lap while I was getting my teeth cleaned. Ayden was helping the hygienist with her tools as she worked. He was a dental assistant for a day!”

GRANDDAD: Rick Pless
CHILD: Parker

“One thing we know about Parker, she is already a big sports fan,” says Harris Teeter associate Rick Pless, Parker’s granddad. “We took her to see a basketball game and she thoroughly enjoyed herself. She jumped up and down on our laps, giggled and watched with great interest.”



GRANDDAD: Gary Moon
CHILD: Elisabeth

“Elisabeth is a true music lover,” smiles Harris Teeter associate Gary Moon, her granddaddy. “Even at her age, Elisabeth can name the band that is playing the songs she hears. We also chuckle at her ability to sing along with commercial jingles, she remembers every word!”

DAD: Prem Sriramulu
CHILD: Akshra

“Akshra is such a fun and imaginative child,” says Harris Teeter associate Prem, Akshra’s dad. “One day she decided to draw and scribble all over one of our walls with chalk. When her mom found the chalk covered wall, she asked Akshra if she had done it. Akshra, covered with colored chalk dust looked up at her and said, ‘Elmo did this mommy!’”

GRANDMA: Karen Hoben
CHILD: Orion

“Orion has his priorities straight, even at his young age,” says Harris Teeter associate Karen Hoben, Orion’s grandmother. “On Valentine’s Day, when I asked him if he would be my Valentine, he shook his head and said ‘no, I want chocolate.’”

MOM: Martha Curd
CHILD: Jackson

“Show business may be in Jackson’s future,” says Harris Teeter associate Martha Curd, his Mom. “Jackson not only loves to play his harmonica, he loves to play in front of an audience. When he is finished, we all applaud while Jackson takes a big bow and says, ‘Thank you very much.’”

GRANDMA: Doris Hunt
CHILD: Katelyn

Harris Teeter associate Doris Hunt and her granddaughter Katelyn have a long distance relationship. “Katelyn lives in Kentucky so we talk on the phone a lot,” says Doris. “She is so funny because she will just repeat everything you say. She loves to talk on the cell phone.”

CHILD: Emily

“Emily is a sweet child who, even at her age, gets right to the point of things! At her last Easter egg hunt, she didn’t feel like waiting for the eggs to be hidden, so she just chased the Easter Bunny all around and kept trying to take them right out of his basket. She was so funny, she had everyone laughing as she hung on to the Easter Bunny’s leg so he couldn’t hop away!” says Harris Teeter associate Jean Credle, Emily’s grandmother.

CHILD: Ashleigh

I have no doubt that she will grow out of it, but our little Ashleigh loves to tattle. She will walk up to you and say “tittle tattle” to let you know she is getting ready to tell you something. She is so cute and she keeps us all laughing with her tattling tales

DAD: Mike Myers
CHILD: Jacob

“Jacob is a very sweet and fun little boy and has no problem telling you how he wants things to be,” says Harris Teeter associate Mike Myers, Jacob’s dad. When Jacob learned that he was going to be a brother, his mommy started to teach him to say “Baby Sister”. Jacob would just shake his head no and respond, “No mommy….baby brother!”

CHILD: Hannah

“I believe Hannah’s life will be full of adventure,” says Harris Teeter associate Jeanne, Hannah’s grandmother. “She just loves to climb, run and jump, and she has no fear at all. Hannah also loves to read books and stories, she is full of wonder!”

CHILD: Jacob

“If I had to choose one word to describe my grandson Jacob, it would be laughter,” says Harris Teeter associate Jeanne, Jacob’s grandmother. “Jacob loves to laugh and giggle. He actually likes to be tickled. Once he starts, he has everyone laughing along with him!”

GRANDMOTHER: Candy Galuski
CHILD: Lauren

“If I had to choose a word to describe Lauren, it would have to be sunshine,” says Harris Teeter associate Candy Galuski, Lauren’s grandmother. “Lauren is such a happy little baby; you can never be in a bad mood when you are around her. All she has to do is give you a big smile and you can’t help but smile back!”


DAD: Rob Wynn
CHILD: Tessa

“She is such a funny little girl,” says Harris Teeter associate Rob Wynn, Tessa’s father. “One day she went in the kitchen and took one tiny bite out of every apple we had in a bowl. When we saw what she had done, Tessa tried to become invisible by hiding behind a very skinny kitchen table leg.”

GRANDMOTHER: Linda Gulden
CHILD: Paden

“So far Paden has been the perfect baby,” smiles Harris Teeter associate Linda Gulden, Paden Mount’s grandmother. “It took him 44 hours of labor and C section, but Paden is the picture of contentment! During bottle feeding breaks, he smacks his lips as if to say mm-mmm-good!”

DAD: Wilson Ford
CHILD: Christopher

“Christopher is such a sweet little boy,” says Harris Teeter associate Wilson Ford, Christopher’s dad. “On occasion, when he does misbehave, I just can’t stay upset with him. He looks at me with his big brown eyes, gives me a kiss and says … ‘I’m sorry daddy’ and my heart just melts. I almost wind up apologizing to him!”

CHILD: Madison

“Mattie has always been an animal lover,” says Harris Teeter associate Tammy Whitaker, Mattie’s grandmother. “One of her most favorite things to do is to go to the Zoo. It is so sweet to hear her tell everyone about all the animals she has seen. But Mattie’s most favorite animal of all is her dog Petey.”

MOM: I’man Pride
CHILD: Naseer

“Even at his early age, Naseer is quite a cut-up,” says Harris Teeter associate I’man Pride, Naseer’s mom. “One day little Naseer took off what he was he wearing and put on his 4 year old sister’s princess dress-up attire,” I’man laughs, “he even put on the heels! He made us all laugh out loud.”

DAD: Scott Lynch
CHILD: Mandy

“Little Mandy is a fun little girl,” says Harris Teeter associate David Lynch, Mandy’s dad. “She thinks she is the same age as her big brothers. When they play video games, she will take a controller and press the buttons as fast as she can. She makes us laugh!”

GRANDFATHER: Michael Idol, Sr.
CHILD: Paige

“Paige is one honest little girl,” says Harris Teeter associate Michael Idol, Sr., Paige’s grandfather. “She will warm your heart and make you laugh in an instant. We were playing one day and she looked up at me and said ‘Pa Pa, you are my buddy’. While I was starting a big smile, she just as lovingly said, “Pa Pa, you’re bald.” I think I laughed for an hour!”

MOM: Amber Frye
CHILD: Sydney

“I think the big screen may be in my little girl’s future,” says Harris Teeter associate Amber Frye, Sydney’s mom. “Sydney is usually a happy baby and she loves to bounce high in her bouncy seat, but on those rare occasions she is unhappy, all her daddy, Jason, has to do is pull out his camera and she immediately smiles and strikes a pose!”.

GRANDMOTHER: Donna Locicero
CHILD: Gianna

“Distance stops me from seeing Gianna as much as I would like,” says Harris Teeter associate Donna Locicero, Gianna’s grandmother. “She grows and changes a little between each visit, but one thing that remains the same is how sweet she is! Gianna is just starting to crawl and that will open up a whole new world for her,” smiles Donna…. “and her parents!”

GRANDMOTHER: Jean P. McBee
CHILD: Peyton

“Peyton made quite an entrance when she was born,” says Harris Teeter associate Jean McBee, Peyton’s grandmother. “I was in the delivery room when Peyton was born… and she let us know she was here! She came out screaming at the top of her lungs. She has been the sweetest little girl since. I can’t help but smile when she is around.”
