What is it?
Harris Teeter’s Together In Education program is a fund raising program for schools (public or private- preschool through 12th grade) in our communities.
When customers purchase select Harris Teeter Brand products using their VIC card, Harris Teeter contributes a percentage of those purchase dollars to the schools of their choice.
Schools use the money as they see fit on anything from basic supplies to band equipment or computers.
One Step Sign Up Process
Starting August 1st each year, parents and community members are able to link their VIC cards to your school's Together in Education school code.
This one time sign up process must take place each school year. The school of your choice is linked to your VIC card until May 31. You can link your VIC card to up to five schools and Harris Teeter will evenly distribute funds to the schools. Look for special promotions where you can earn even more money for your school.
|What items qualify?
When you purchase Harris Teeter Brand products, Harris Teeter Brand, H.T. Traders, Harris Teeter Organics, or Harris Teeter Farmers Market (pre-packaged items only), a percentage of those purchase dollars goes back to your school. Please note that random weighted or bulk items in produce, meat (except poultry), seafood, deli-bakery, or prepared foods within these brands are not included in the program.
Pharmacy Program: A bonus program!
In addition to the HT brand items that qualify for our TIE program, use the HT Pharmacy to earn even more for your school. A percentage of each presciption filled in our pharmacy will be donated to TIE schools. Customers must have their VIC card linked to a TIE school in order to participate.

August 1 - May 31
The contribution schedule looks like this:
|Program in Process
||CONTRIBUTION PAYMENT TO SCHOOL
|August - November
||1st Contribution to schools (Paid in December)
|December - February
||2nd Contribution to schools (Paid in March)
||3rd Contribution to schools (Paid in June)
How do I know what my school earned?
Every pay period, Harris Teeter will mail your school a check in the amount that it has earned. Once the contribution has been made, your school's account will revert to $0 and accumulate again for the next pay period. If a school account earns less than $250 in the pay period, Harris Teeter will notify the school that its purchase dollars will be rolled over to the next pay period instead of sending a check.
When the program is over, all participating schools will receive a check for the amount they earned. (The school must meet a minimum of $25 in the program to receive a check.) At the end of each pay period, your school will be able to tell you how much it earned.
