April's Winner

April 2009 Winner - Melissa Agee

Melissa Agee
Secondary English Teacher

East Forsyth High School

As a teacher, Mrs. Agee is dedicated to making sure she is keeping up with the times. She has made efforts to bring the technology that students use every day into her English assignments. She wants her students to learn through a system that makes sense to them and to gain knowledge about the assignment based on what is important to them and not her.

Dee Simmons goes on to tell us about what a wonderful mentor Mrs. Agee is to her peers. She genuinely wants to help all of her peers and is eager to share her knowledge and materials with any of them. This is one of many acknowledgments we received about Mrs. Agee and why it was easy to select her as a top candidate for our Teacher of Excellence Award.

Congratulations!!

This year's winners, both Teacher and School received a check for $1,000!
