Fundraising Events
Over the years, Harris Teeter has allowed non-profit organizations to hold fundraising events in front of stores in many neighborhoods through out the south east. The funds collected help to improve our communities and provide additional funding for special projects with groups such as the Girl Scouts, Boy Scouts and the Salvation Army.

  1. Harris Teeter limits outside fundraisers to two events, per store, per month.
  2. Harris Teeter does not allow more than one fundraising event to take place in its stores at a time. During months in which Harris Teeter holds point of purchase contribution programs at its registers, we will not allow fundraising events outside of our stores.
  3. You must submit a fundraising request 6 weeks in advance of the event. You will be allowed to choose 3 Harris Teeter store locations to hold your event. We will begin with your first request and if it is not available, will move on to your second and then your third choices. If you are unable to select/locate the store in which you would like to hold your event, it has been previously reserved during your selected time period.
*Note: You must be a registered 501 (c)(3) organization to apply. Fundraising events are not allowed in our Northern Virginia, Charlottesville, VA area, Maryland, Delaware, and DC markets or at our Distribution Centers. It is important to remember that a wide variety of organizations request to solicit outside of our stores. To ensure that we help as many organizations as possible, each non-profit agency is allowed to solicit two times a year, per store.
