Exercise Saves lives

Squeeze in a few more minutes of exercise each day and you might squeeze in a few more days of living - as well as better squeeze into your pants!
A recent study showed that moderately intensive physical activity performed 5 days a week can help lessen the risk of death from all medical causes.
As is often stated, if that came in a pill we'd all be taking it!
Interestingly, daily walking only showed mild benefit. To really get the health benefits of exercise you need to exert yourself a little more most days of the week. Make sure your doctor knows you are starting a new exercise program first!

Smoking Considered a Pandemic

The Third Edition of the Tobacco Atlas was published this year and the statistics are more than sobering - they are devastating.
Hundreds of millions of people will die from smoking in this century unless concerted actions are taken around the globe. The actions need to be in place for youngsters as well as adults, because a significant number of people have their first experience with cigarettes under age 10 years.
If you smoke, or if someone you love smokes, be kind to your self and understand that it's hard to quit. But be even more kind to your self and admit that you are / your loved one is valued, and it's worth the effort to quit smoking. Get help and get started now.
