Harris Teeter Plans 11/11/12 Promotion to Honor Veterans
Company Offers Discount to Service Members Who Shop at Harris Teeter on Veterans Day
Charlotte, N.C. – Harris Teeter wants to say thanks to service members on Veterans Day and is hosting a one-day promotion through which veterans and active duty service members who shop at Harris Teeter will receive an 11 percent discount.
The company understands the major sacrifices that military members and their family members make and the subsequent impact those sacrifices have on the community. The company feels strongly, therefore, about honoring those who have served and those who continue to serve this country by announcing the 11 percent discount to take place at all Harris Teeter locations on Nov. 11, 2012.
Harris Teeter has a long history of supporting the military by providing both financial donations and food relief. The company, for the third year in a row, is partnering with MillerCoors to donate holiday dinners to 400 military families in Washington, D.C. served by Operation Homefront. Later this month, Harris Teeter is also presenting a check for over $600,000 to Wounded Warrior Project™ for funds raised in its stores by way of targeted promotions and donation card campaigns to which its customers donated.
The 11 percent discount is valid with your VIC card and after all coupons and discounts are applied. Military personnel who are active, reserve, retired or disabled veterans and their family members must show a valid government-issued military ID card at time of check-out. Some restrictions will apply and the discount does exclude purchases including alcohol, tobacco, gift cards and tickets.
