Harris Teeter is partnering with Redskins linebacker London Fletcher and his The London's Bridge Foundation to help a team of 25 teenage students at MacFarland Middle School learn about healthy food choices and balanced meals. Harris Teeter is funding a trip to the grocery store, at which time the students will apply the lessons learned off the field in the super market. Kraft Foods will also be on site to help students understand how to make nutritious choices using the new MyPlate icon. The event is part of a larger campaign to teach the students about healthy living, and is the last stop on a field trip that included a visit with U.S. Sen. Sherrod Brown.

The London’s Bridge Foundation
London’s Bridge was founded by 14-year NFL Veteran and current Washington Redskins Team Captain London Fletcher. Through London’s Bridge, Fletcher hosts a yearly mentoring program entitled London’s Brigade. London’s Brigade benefits students attending MacFarland Middle School, located in the Northwest quadrant of Washington, D.C.
