Charlotte, NC – Harris Teeter and its associates are campaigning to send children with neuromuscular disease to MDA summer camp and, in just over two weeks, the company’s generous shoppers have raised nearly $150,000 during the MDA donation card campaign. The campaign ends on March 31, 2011.
To date, Harris Teeter shoppers have raised enough money to send 187 youngsters to MDA summer camp. The company set a campaign goal to raise enough money to send 230 kids to camp and, with the support of our generous customers, is looking forward to reaching this milestone.
For many children with muscular dystrophy, MDA summer camp is the ‘best week of the year,’ giving them the opportunity to take part in camp activities including swimming, boating, fishing, arts and crafts, horseback riding and other fun adventures that they would not otherwise be able to experience.
To help send a child to MDA summer camp, shoppers can purchase $1 and $5 Make a Muscle donation card at any of our 202 store locations.
Please purchase a donation card this month and show your muscle to the MDA.
