Harris Teeter Together in Education Makes it Easy for Schools to Recycle & Earn Money
Schools are encouraged to launch an Engaged Recycling fundraising program this holiday season to earn green

Charlotte, NC – This holiday season, Harris Teeter Together in Education encourages schools to go green and earn money by launching a recycling fundraising program through Engaged Recycling.

In April 2010, Harris Teeter partnered with Engaged Recycling to promote a sustainable future while supporting local schools.  There are two easy ways to participate and earn money:  donate individual items for recycling or start a recycling fundraising program at a Together in Education school.  Every time customers recycle their gently used electronic device, Harris Teeter donates one dollar to the Together in Education school of their choice.  Shoppers can also choose to donate their entire recycling reward to the Together in Education school of their choice, and schools can host a recycling fundraising program to raise money to support vital programs or purchase supplies necessary for the classroom.
