Sing My Jingle Contest Now Closed and Over 100 Schools Wait for Harris Teeter to Announce Winners
Individuals can still cast a vote for their favorite video for a chance to win Harris Teeter gift cards

Charlotte, NC – Harris Teeter challenged all participating Together in Education (TIE) schools to hum, strum, march, sing, and vote their way toward a $10,000 cash prize by creating their rendition of the my harris teeter jingle during the Sing My Jingle contest.

Harris Teeter received over 100 submissions during the Sing My Jingle Contest.  Although the last day to submit an entry was on March 31, 2010, the public still has the opportunity to view all entries at jingle.harristeeter.com and vote on their favorites through April 8, 2010.

There are many ways to win during Sing My Jingle.  The school selected to win in the People’s Choice vote will earn a $2,500 cash prize.  Individuals who cast votes for their favorite video will be entered in a random drawing to win three, $500 Harris Teeter gift cards.  The Grand Prize winner will be determined by a panel of Harris Teeter judges and will earn $10,000!  Remember – the school selected by the People’s Choice vote and the school selected by the panel of Harris Teeter judges can be the same!  All winners will be announced on May 26, 2010 in a commercial that will air during the American Idol finale.

The Sing My Jingle contest is an extension of the my harris teeter campaign developed by the company during the fall of 2005, and hosting it is another way Harris Teeter shows support for education by providing a financial reward to the winning schools.  The jingle’s lyrics reflect the ownership shoppers take in Harris Teeter and the way they refer to Harris Teeter stores as “my harris teeter,” and to associates as “my store manager,” and so on.
