Harris Teeter’s Haiti Earthquake Relief Campaign Raises $263,161 in 72 hours
Harris Teeter also kicked-off campaign by donating $25,000 to American Red Cross International Relief Fund
Charlotte, NC – In less than 72 hours, Harris Teeter shoppers have answered the company’s call to action to support the American Red Cross’ relief efforts in Haiti and donated over BLANK during the company’s Haiti Earthquake Relief Donation Card Campaign.
All 194 Harris Teeter stores are selling $1 and $5 donation cards to benefit the American Red Cross International Relief Fund. The campaign will run through the 31st of January; there is no limit to the number of cards a customer can purchase. When customers are purchasing groceries, they can simply pick-up either the $1 or $5 card and tell their cashier they would like to make a donation. The card will be scanned and added to the grocery total.
Including the $25,000 donation the company made to the Red Cross at the beginning of the campaign, the total raised has reached $288,161 and will continue to grow throughout the week.
