Harris Teeter’s Haiti Earthquake Relief Campaign Raises $66,784 in less than 24 hours
Harris Teeter also kicked-off campaign by donating an additional $25,000 to the American Red Cross International Relief Fund
Charlotte, NC – In less than 24 hours, Harris Teeter shoppers have answered the company’s call to action to support the American Red Cross’ relief efforts in Haiti and donated over $66,784 during the company’s Haiti Earthquake Relief Donation Card Campaign.
All 194 Harris Teeter stores are selling $1 and $5 donation cards to benefit the American Red Cross International Relief Fund. The campaign will run through the 31st of January; there is no limit to the number of cards a customer can purchase. When customers are purchasing groceries, they can simply pick-up either the $1 or $5 card and tell their cashier they would like to make a donation. The card will be scanned and added to the grocery total.
Including the $25,000 donation the company made to the Red Cross at the beginning of the campaign, the total raised has reached $91,784 and will continue to grow as throughout the week.
