Harris Teeter Offers Schools a Chance to Win Up To $12,500 During the Sing My Jingle Contest

Harris Teeter Offers Schools a Chance to Win Up To $12,500 During the Sing My Jingle Contest
Participating Together in Education schools are encouraged to submit their version of the my harris teeter jingle for a chance to win

Charlotte, NC – Harris Teeter is challenging all participating Together in Education (TIE) schools to hum, strum, march, sing, and vote their way toward a $12,500 cash prize by creating their rendition of the my harris teeter jingle during the Sing My Jingle contest.

The Sing My Jingle contest is an extension of the my harris teeter campaign developed by the company during the fall of 2005, and hosting it is another way Harris Teeter shows support for education by providing a financial reward to the winning schools.  The jingle’s lyrics reflect the ownership shoppers take in Harris Teeter and the way they refer to Harris Teeter stores as “my harris teeter,” and to associates as “my store manager,” and so on.

Jingle entries uploaded on jingle.harristeeter.com will be judged by both a panel of Harris Teeter judges and the general public.  The winning school selected by the panel of Harris Teeter judges will receive a $10,000 cash prize.  The school selected to win in the People’s Choice vote will earn a $2,500 cash prize – and it can be the same school!  As an added bonus for those who take part in the People’s Choice vote, three, $500 Harris Teeter gift cards will be awarded by random drawing to individuals who cast votes for their favorite video.

The company will begin accepting Sing My Jingle entries on January 12, 2010.  The last day to submit an entry is on March 31, 2010.  The public will have the opportunity to view all entries and vote on their favorites as soon as the first video is posted and ending on April 8, 2010.

Last year Wesleyan Christian Academy in High Point won big.  This year it could be your school – or you!
