New my harris teeter Jingle to Air During Final Episode of American Idol
Tune in on May 20 to watch Wesleyan Christian Academy’s $10,000 version of the jingle

Charlotte, NC – Harris Teeter assigned all participating Together in Education schools with a class project earlier in the year - hum, strum, march, and sing their version of the my harris teeter jingle and get a chance to win $10,000.  Over 180 schools entered the contest; the winning school was Wesleyan Christian Academy’s Servant Praise Band in High Point, NC.

Harris Teeter Together in Education offered schools two incentives for schools to enter the contest.  The school whose version of the my harris teeter won would receive a $10,000 check and their version of the my harris teeter jingle would air during the final episode of American Idol on Wednesday, May 20.  Harris Teeter presented a check to Wesleyan Christian Academy in April; tomorrow their version of the my harris teeter jingle will air on FOX.

Harris Teeter has been raising funds for schools for over eleven years through TIE.  TIE programs include the Milk Cap Challenge, Teachers of Excellence, We Think GREEN, U-Promise Partnership, March Frozen Food Club, Campbell’s Labels for Education and now my harris teeter jingle.  All of these programs are additional ways Harris Teeter Together in Education can show support for its community and help schools raise funds for important projects they would not otherwise be able to support.

Harris Teeter would like to congratulate Wesleyan Christian Academy and the Servant Praise Band for their accomplishment.
