Harris Teeter is proud to announce its fourth my harris teeter jingle contest winner. Although this is the fourth year Harris Teeter has hosted the my harris teeter jingle contest, it is the first year the contest has been run through the company’s Together in Education (TIE) program. This year, Harris Teeter is proud to announce that Wesleyan Christian Academy is the recipient of a $10,000 check for humming, strumming and marching its way to the my harris teeter jingle winners circle. Wesleyan Christian Academy in High Point will host Harris Teeter for a formal award presentation on Friday, April 24 at 8am.

At the presentation, Harris Teeter will give the school a $10,000 check for winning the my harris teeter jingle contest. Harris Teeter will also use Wesleyan Christian Academy’s my harris teeter jingle submission in a commercial that will air on Tuesday, May 26, 2009 during the final episode of American Idol. The commercial will also run on our web site.

Harris Teeter has been raising funds for schools for over eleven years through TIE. TIE programs include the Milk Cap Challenge, Teachers of Excellence, We Think GREEN, U-Promise Partnership, March Frozen Food Club, Campbell’s Labels for Education and now my harris teeter jingle. All of these programs are additional ways Harris Teeter Together in Education can show support for its community and help schools raise funds for important projects they would not otherwise be able to support.
