Harris Teeter Concludes a SHAMROCKing Muscular Dystrophy Campaign
Harris Teeter surpasses $1 million in donations to the Muscular Dystrophy Association

This year, thanks to the support of our generous customers, Harris Teeter donated $180,545 to the Muscular Dystrophy Association (MDA).  The company is also proud to announce that in this, Harris Teeter’s 13th year to partner with the MDA, it surpassed the $1,000,000 mark in total donations to the organization.

All Harris Teeter stores participated in the month-long shamrock campaign.  To raise funds, customers were asked if they would like to purchase either a $1 or $5 shamrock card.  The money donated this year will help 277 children attend MDA Summer Camp.  In total, Harris Teeter has helped send 1,437 children attend to the camp.

The MDA Summer Camp program began in 1955 with one camp and 16 campers.  Currently, over 4,000 campers attend MDA Summer Camp each year at 90 camps across the country.

Harris Teeter would like to thank its customers and associates who helped make this campaign a SHAMROCKing success.
