                2100 Morrisville Pkwy
                Cary, NC 27519

To kick the school year off right, Harris Teeter’s Together in Education program held a contest to reward schools for re-linking their VIC cards. It was easy for schools to participate; for every 20 links that the school received they were entered into a drawing to win a TV. The contest ran from August 1, 2008 until September 30, 2008. At the end of the contest Harris Teeter selected a random winner from three Triangle area schools and one school in Wilmington.

Harris Teeter is proud to announce Carpenter Elementary School as its Cary Samsung 40” LCD TV winner. Over 130 VIC card holders linked their VIC cards to the school. Carpenter Elementary School will receive their TV on October 28, 2008 at 10:00 am and will be able to use it at the school or for fundraising efforts. Harris Teeter would like to let its shoppers know that they can still participate! All they need to do is link their VIC card and when they purchase Harris Teeter brand products, a percentage of those purchase dollars will go to the schools of their choice. Families can link up to five schools from preschool through 12th grade and Harris Teeter will evenly distribute the money across the different school accounts

Harris Teeter has donated over $11 million to schools since the launch of its Together in Education (TIE) program in 1998. To ensure schools raised as much funds as possible through the TIE program this year, the company felt it was important to give schools an incentive for re-linking their VIC cards.

Harris Teeter is honored and privileged to announce its TIE Samsung contest winner to the faculty and students at Carpenter Elementary School. We hope members of the media will join us for the celebration and gift presentation.
