Harris Teeter is helping Montgomery County residents get back to normal in the wake of the recent water main break. Today a tractor-trailer left the Harris Teeter Distribution Center in Greensboro, NC heading to Germantown, MD with FREE Water. The Harris Teeter truck will arrive at its Germantown, MD store at 14101 Darnestown Road at approximately 8:00 p.m. If needed, Harris Teeter will schedule a second truck filled with water to arrive Thursday, June 19, 2008.
The truck will distribute over 4,500 gallons of water FREE of charge to residents.
Harris Teeter is listening. “Our customers have told us that they need water, so that’s exactly what we sent–for FREE,” said Harris Teeter President, Fred Morganthall. “This is an opportunity to thank our customers, provide a much needed service, and to just be a good neighbor,” Morganthall adds.
