Race fans, get your engines ready and join thousands of fans for the 17th annual Harris Teeter Race Festival.  This rich tradition provides guests the opportunity to bid on racing auction items, sample great food from more than 40 different vendors while raising money for charity.  There will be a $5 per car donation this year to help raise money for the Victory Junction Gang Camp (VJGC).

For only $5 a car guests will receive:

Ø      Samples from over 40 different vendors.

Ø      WSOC radio will be conducting an auction of racing memorabilia.

Ø      There will be fun for the entire family with show cars on display, face painting, kid’s activities, racing simulators, and sampling tents.  Race fans can sample food from companies like Mayfield, Nestle, Coke, Kleenex, General Mills, Kraft and many more.

Ø      Remember to bring your Harris Teeter VIC card for a chance to win additional prizes.

The Race Festival also provides the community an opportunity to raise funds for the Victory Junction Gang Camp.   Harris Teeter announced its pledge of $150,000 to sponsor the Harris Teeter Pit Stop at the Victory Junction Gang Camp at the 14th Annual Harris Teeter Race Festival.    The Pit Stop is the camp store at Victory Junction.  Here, campers can get necessities or purchase souvenirs for their family or friends.  There is also a snack shop and soda fountain in the Pit Stop.

A $15,000 check will be presented to the Victory Junction Gang Camp during our 7:00 p.m. press conference.

Harris Teeter has set the $5 per car donation to help raise funds for this worthy cause.  Victory Junction Gang Camp, founded by NASCAR driver Kyle Petty and his wife, Pattie, in honor of their late son, Adam, provides camp sessions year-round for children ages 7-15 living with life-threatening illnesses.
