Harris Teeter Raises Funds for the City of Charleston Fire Department to Assist the Families of Local Heroes

Charlotte, NC – Harris Teeter will be making a $5,000 corporate donation to the City of Charleston Firemen’s Fund; to assist the families of the dedicated firefighters, who lost their life while protecting the City of Charleston.

In addition to a corporate donation, Harris Teeter will sell $1.00 and $5.00 donation cards at the register in each Charleston area Harris Teeter store. Associates, customers and community members interested in helping these families are encouraged to stop in to their local Harris Teeter store and make a donation between June 22 and July 6, 2007. One-hundred percent of the donations collected will be donated to the City of Charleston Firemen’s fund and will assist the families who lost their loved ones in the recent Sofa Super Store fire.
