It’s easy purchase a $1 or $5 coupon to make a difference in the cultural community
Charlotte, NC - Harris Teeter stores are proud to join the countless volunteers and staff of the Arts & Science Council (ASC) who come together to ensure a vibrant community enriched with arts, science and history. From, January 17th through January 31st, Charlotte area Harris Teeter stores will be selling $1 and $5 Connect With Culture coupons to raise money for the Annual Fund Drive. This year’s ASC Annual Fund Drive titled “Connect With Culture’ gives individuals and corporations an opportunity to enrich the cultural community.
In addition to Harris Teeter’s in-store drive the company will be making its annual $35,000 corporate contribution to help kick start the campaign. All money raised will go directly to the Arts & Science Council. This fund supports the cultural community through grant making, planning, programs and services. 87 cents of every dollar the ASC receives goes directly back into the community to support arts and culture.
“Harris Teeter shoppers generosity during our in-store card campaigns is amazing,” said Fred Morganthall, President of Harris Teeter. “We have been a long-time partner of the Arts & Science Council and by giving our customers an easy way to donate I know we can bring their campaign to a new level,” added Morganthall.
ASC President & CEO Lee Keesler says, “We thank our donors and partners whose gifts to ASC make an impact in the cultural community. Access to cultural offerings throughout Mecklenburg County will continue to broaden and enhance our quality of life.”
How do customers donate? Connect With Culture coupons will be placed at every register as you check out at your neighborhood food market. Pick up either the $1 or $5 card and tell your cashier you would like to make a donation. The coupon will be scanned and added to your grocery total. Customers need not worry, they can buy as many coupons as they would like. Harris Teeter store managers will hang the purchased Connect With Culture coupons throughout the store so customers can see how their community is making a difference.
Harris Teeter is committed to the communities where our customers and associates live and work. We will continue to give them the opportunity to donate to organizations that make a difference in the lives of their families, friends, colleagues and community.
