What: Harris Teeter Harvest Feast Food Drive
When: Sunday, October 3 through Friday, November 26, 2004
Where: Collection bins in ALL 140 Harris Teeter stores in Florida, Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, and Virginia

Harris Teeter in collaboration with the Inter Faith Food Shuttle, Triangle United Way, and the City of Raleigh, will kick off this year’s Harvest Feast Food Drive in Raleigh, NC on October 3rd. A dinner event will be held at the Raleigh Convention Center feeding individuals and families in the Raleigh area struggling to make ends meet.

As the Harvest Feast Dinner gets under way Harris Teeter stores and their food agency partners will be gearing up for a two month food drive. Bins will be set and ready to go in all 140 Harris Teeter locations on October 3rd. Harris Teeter and its partners want to encourage customers to donate non-perishable items in the collection bins located at the front of their local neighborhood food market from October 3rd - November 26th.

All items donated will stay in the community and food banks from all over the Southeast will benefit from the Harris Teeter Harvest Feast Food Drive. Please remember hunger does not discriminate on the basis of age, race, or sex. It affects the elderly, the unemployed, the disabled, the homeless, the working poor, victims of natural disaster and children.
