|Harris Teeter Shopper Wins New Saturn just for Linking VIC Card
|Mother of four wins new car for supporting her school
|Charlotte, NC - To give shoppers an incentive to re-link their VIC card this year, Harris Teeter threw in a little something extra – a car! Kathleen Prichard is our winner and she took home her new Saturn L-300, Tuesday in Durham, NC.
From the "birthing ceremony" at the Saturn dealership to the party at Harris Teeter where we turned over the keys to her new car, Kathleen Prichard and her family were thrilled that their everyday support of Pearsontown Elementary paid off in such a big way!
"Thank you Harris Teeter and Saturn for your support of education and thank you for my brand new Saturn L-300! My family loves the car so much we have even given it a name - Harriet - in honor of all our friends at the Harris Teeter in Homestead Market," Prichard exclaimed.
Last year, Harris Teeter gave over $1,221,041 back to schools throughout our markets. That means money for band uniforms, musical instruments, books, teacher workshops, scholarships, and much more. It also means that Harris Teeter's Together In Education program has now topped the $4 million mark donating $4,349,643 back to schools for needs that fall outside their ever shrinking budgets.
"I want to express our appreciation to Harris Teeter for their support of education in our community in general and for Pearstown Elementary in particular. We are also thrilled that one of our parents, Kathleen Prichard won a beautiful new Saturn," said Dr. Eric Bracy, Principal Pearsontown Elementary.
Randy Gilmore, Executive Manager, of the Saturn of Chapel Hill notes, "Saturn is proud to support Harris Teeter's effort to improve education in our community through its Together In Education program. Like Harris Teeter, Saturn understands that giving back to the communities that support us is vital to our company's success. Congratulations to Kathleen Prichard on winning a brand new Saturn- L300."
Harris Teeter is excited about helping support schools in the markets we serve and we look forward to the program's continued growth and success.
