Harris Teeter Gives First Installment to American Red Cross Disaster Relief Fund
CHARLOTTE, NC, September 24, 2001 --- Harris Teeter donated today $71,250 to the American Red Cross Disaster Relief Fund. The contribution is the cash value of product donated by customers and associates for the victims and relief workers in New York City and northern Virginia. Because the product donations were converted into a cash contribution to better serve the relief needs, the donated product was given to the Second Harvest Food Bank and Salvation Army.

All Harris Teeter stores continue to take financial contributions to benefit the American Red Cross Disaster Relief Fund. Customers can contribute any amount at any manned register.
