Harris Teeter to Open Second Union County Store
STALLINGS, NC, Sept. 27, 2001 --- Harris Teeter will open its 2nd Union County store at 8 a.m. on Wednesday, October 17. Located at Stevens Mill Crossing in Stallings, the 36,723 square-foot store will be open from 6 a.m. to 11 p.m., and will employ about 120 associates.

The store, at 7800-J Stevens Mill Road, will feature a wide variety of grocery and dairy products, along with full-service meat, seafood, fresh foods and floral departments. The store will also offer a carousel U-Scan, which will allow self-checkout for customers with all order sizes. In addition, the store will offer natural foods and organic sections, a sushi bar, Coinstar and many other amenities for which Harris Teeter stores are noted.

Mark Peskowitz, who has been with Harris Teeter since 1998, will manage the store. Co-Managers at the new location will be Shannon McKinney and Doss Mackey.
