Harris Teeter to Open New Charlotte Store
CHARLOTTE, NC, April 5, 2001 --- Harris Teeter will open its 29th Charlotte area store at 8 a.m. on Wednesday, April 25.

Located at 1621 North Sardis Road in the Sardis Crossing Shopping Center, the 35,928 square-foot-store will be open from 7 a.m. - 11 p.m. daily and will employ about 90 associates.

The store will feature a wide variety of grocery and dairy products, along with full-service meat and fresh foods departments. In addition, the store will offer rotisserie chicken, a self-service floral department, Coinstar, Western Union and many other amenities for which Harris Teeter stores are noted.

Chuong Hong, who has been with Harris Teeter since 1988, will manage the store. Co-Manager at the new Charlotte store will be Jim Underwood.
