Hunter Farms

 Hunter Dairy, an integral part of Harris Teeter since October 1980, was started in 1917 by Harvey B. Hunter.
The operation has grown from delivering the raw milk obtained from a small dairy herd to one which procures milk for over 200 dairy farms across a six state area. It operates 24 hours a day, seven days a week, and has sales exceeding $100 million dollars annually. Hunter Farms supplies milk and ice cream products to Harris Teeter stores under the names of Hunter Farms, Harris Teeter Naturals Organic, Harris Teeter All Natural, Harris Teeter Premium, Harris Teeter Light, and Denali. Hunter Farms also supplies dairy products to major outside customers such as Wendys, U.S. Foods, Maola, and Freshens.
