Hunter Farms
Hunter Dairy, an integral part of Harris Teeter since October 1980, was started in 1917 by Harvey B. Hunter.
The operation has grown from delivering the raw milk obtained from a small dairy herd to one which procures milk for over 200 dairy farms across a five state area. It operates 24 hours a day, seven days a week, and has sales exceeding $110 million dollars annually. Hunter Farms supplies milk and ice cream products to Harris Teeter stores under the names of Hunter Farms, Harris Teeter All-Natural, Hunter Southern Select, Highland Crest and Harris Teeter brand. Hunter Farms also supplies dairy products to major corporations such as Sara Lee, Wendy's, US Foods.
