Store Manager Trainee
Your first step to become an incredible Store Manager will be as a Store Management Trainee. In that position you will be trained through the Management Development Program. The purpose of the Management Development Program is to prepare individuals for the duties and responsibilities of an Assistant Store Manager.
The Management Development Program (MDP) itself will require potential managers to learn the function of every department in the store. It includes general management classes as well as learning first hand about our business and an Orientation phase that gives an overview of the entire store operation.
You will also learn customer and associate relations, merchandising, advertising and store operations. In the Financial phase you will learn the flow of paperwork in the store as well as calculations and analysis required in retail management. In the Meat and Seafood phase you will learn the skills required, product identification, etc., while training under the direction of the Meat/ Seafood Manager.
Once placed in management, you can expand your knowledge through on the job experience.
